IDW Publishing have canceled Black Crown’s Marilyn Manor #2 through #4, as well as the planned collected edition.

“We deeply appreciate all the hard work that Magdalene Visaggio, Marley Zarcone, Irma Kniivila, Tamra Bonvillain, and Shelly Bond dedicated to Marilyn Manor, and the enthusiasm and support from the fans,” read a statement released by IDW. “Unfortunately, with heavy hearts, we are cancelling this project. We hope to have the opportunity to work with these talented creators on future projects.”

Published under IDW’s Black Crown imprint, Marilyn Manor #1 debuted June 26 – with sales figures later released by Diamond Comic Distributors reporting it was the 292nd highest title for that month, in terms of issues sold. Comichron estimates 3,300 copies were ordered by retailers in the month of June.

Issue #2 was solicited to come out in July, but it and subsequent issues were all rescheduled before their intended release prior to this week’s cancelation.
